Composition of NDRF BnsComposition of NDRF Bns

Each Bn have 1149 personnel Each Bn have 18 specialist teams of 44 Members to handle natural & NBC disasters.Each team have Engineers, Paramedics, Technician, Electrician, Communication personnel & Dog squad. Organized, equipped and trained for all type of disasters.

i) Capable in CSSR operations.

ii) Men are trained in MFR (Medical First Responder)

iii) Men are trained in Flood and mountain rescue operations.

iv) Each unit has deep divers.

v) 36 Dogs would be present with capability of search & rescue operations.

vi) Presence of specialized manpower viz. 36 Engineers, 19 Doctors, 36 Nurses, 18 Technicians, 18 Electricians etc. make it a highly specialized professional Force.

vii) Authorization and presence of highly specialized equipments.

C O N C E P T NDRF Bns located to cover most vulnerable

and High Risk Areas within 4-8 hrs in the country.

Geared to take on Regional and International commitments on short notice.

Ready and proactive availability of NDRF to States.

Trained for heli-insertion in impact areas.

Readiness of Force to be on highest priority.

NDRF Bns to facilitate all possible Trg for State Response Forces.

NDRF will be a dedicated Force exclusively for disaster response and capacity building activities related to disaster management.

PRE-DISASTER

Will impart Disaster Management training to the local police, District Authorities, PRIs and other Stake holders.

Will organise community awareness and preparedness programme during familarisation & recee of vulnerable areas in the A.O.R.

Will impart training to the teachers and school children in the management of Natural Disasters.

basis of the history of the occurrence of disasters in the past where heavy and specialized equipments would be pre-positioned along with the teams in order to cut down the response time for deployment of men & resources.
