• Set it up with context • Be specific about what you’re asking for • Think about whether and how you would answer • Provide examples • What sort of demographic data do you want?

• Don’t do the same thing in both places – chances are it won’t work
• Storify is a great tool for collecting responses across platforms

• Be prepared and don’t overpromise • Be as “surgical” as possible • Seed it beforehand • Think about how someone will feel after they read your callout • Be transparent • Use an auto-reply • Don’t be afraid to “flood the zone” and ask for help
