Dear Friends,

I take this opportunity to thank our readers for their keen interest in receiving & reading our newsletter.

Friends, even though all of us are concerned about the Indian economy, we must recognize that other economies of the world have been really hit by the financial & debt crisis - India is seeing the effects of this.

What is required is a strong focus by all, including the government, industry stakeholders to sail through this phase.I remember an old saying “ when there is no wind, one needs to row.”

In this edition, we have showcased importantly our strong deep commitment in the Distribution sector, where we have gone ahead by highlighting some of the milestones that we have achieved.

With Metro, we have crossed business of Rs. 100 Crs. in this financial year after receiving another order for E&M of three depots at a value of Rs. 63.7 Crs.

Powergen business continues to grow and we have received large orders from Reliance Data centres for 12 X2000 KVA 7 X 2500 KVA power stations valuing around Rs. 50 Crs.

On the onset of summer, the retail business is also doing crisp business and dealers all over are doing a commendable job.

In March, we organized our annual Sudhir Classic Golf Tournament at the Qutab Golf Club which was inaugurated by Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Hon'ble Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy. This Tournament proved to be a huge success with presence of luminaries from the world of politics, judiciary, sports, bureaucracy, diplomats and industry. Frankly, what I want to do as a promoter of the Sudhir Classic Golf Tournament is to make our fellow golfers happy.

Where we have achieved so many milestones in different industry segments, we also understand that we have some social responsibilities towards the nation too. In view of it, we are proud to say that the Sudhir Foundation has adopted an entire village of Rajasthan to impart education to children and are continuously working on various areas to make our nation a better place to live.

Sudhir Foundation is reputed for undertaking philanthropic causes. Recently, Sudhir Foundation installed a modernized hygienic water purifier plant at Rajkiya Ucch Vidyalaya, Govt High School Kadarpur, Gurgaon. This water purifier with cooling system will provide around 600 students and 20 staff members of the school access to clean, contamination-free and cool drinking water – a relief in the scorching summer season.

Sudhir Genset's Athal plant, located near Mumbai, organized the 41st National Safety Slogan Week for the workers. Workers from all domains eagerly participated in the Slogan Week with insightful slogans. The best slogans were also awarded.

11 year-old Megha sports a confident smile as she picks up a book and effortlessly reads and writes in both English and Hindi; a far cry from the earlier days. With Read India Campaign's support, Megha now dreams of being an engineer when she grows up.

The northern region of India is a powerhouse of resources that is just waiting to be tapped. Providing a platform for investment opportunities in the northern states of India, the Cll organized lnvest North Conclave, putting the spotlight on 'Brand J&K'. Organized on 3rd and 4th November 2012 at Hotel The Westin, Gurgaon, the investors' profile included not only domestic but also foreign investors.

SUDHIR PACKS IN A POWERED PERFORMANCE

Sudhir has been electrifying Delhi's power distribution scenario. We have bagged orders from all the three Distribution companies. Delhi's power distribution sector is handled by BRPL, BYPL and NDPL which are joint ventures between the Delhi Government and the private sector. The region-wise distribution of Delhi has BRPL accountable for power distribution in Central, South and West Delhi; BYPL in charge of East Delhi and NDPL responsible for North and North-West Delhi.

It is notable that the BSES Rajdhani project of providing SITC of 6 nos of Packaged Substation (PSS) and NDPL project of providing SITC of 21 nos of Packaged Substation (PSS) has been received from the Delhi utilities. All the substations have built in HT metering with 3 way RMU and capacitors for power factor correction.

The distribution of power and retail supply business of northern Haryana is the domain of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL), a Govt. of Haryana Undertaking. In yet another first placement, a direct order from a state government electricity board has been bagged by Sudhir. Sudhir will now be energizing the new vertical of 33 KV unmanned substation in Sonepat district with construction of seven 33KV substations with civil work, 10MVA power transformer and HT & LT lines work with O&M of a value of Rs. 25 Crs.

Sudhir has bagged the prestigious order of Reliance Jio Infocomm, the 4G Data Services of Reliance Industries, valued at Rs. 32.4 Crs. for Supplying, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 12 X 2000 KVA HT Silent DG sets along with synchronsing panel for their upcoming call centres in Mumbai and Nagpur.

Reliance Industries Ltd has given Sudhir another order worth Rs. 15.6 Crs. for SITC of 7 X 2500 KVA HT Silent DG sets along with synchronsing panel for their new Dahej plant.

Sudhir Empowers Telecom Sector

SUDHIR – EYEING AN ENERGY-RICH FUTURE

With quite a few Indo-Japanese ventures in the pipeline, Sudhir has undertaken the task of catering to the supply of uninterrupted power to some renowned ventures.

For Exedy Clutch India Pvt. Ltd.'s new auto components project based at Bengaluru, Sudhir has undertaken SITC of 11 KV silent DG sets ranging from 1010 KVA-2000 KVA along with transformers and switchgears. The project valued at Rs. 7.50 Crs. will focus on supplying mainly to Honda initially.

Bagging another reputed project with a value of Rs. 5.7 Crs., Sudhir would be supplying 7 nos. of 11 KV silent DG Sets ranging from 200 KVA-1010 KVA along with HT Panels to the Japanese auto parts maker Denso India for their new manufacturing unit at Jhajjar, Haryana. Denso will be manufacturing and selling small motors for products such as windshield wipers and power windows along with engine cooling modules.

Continuing the task of powering prestigious Japanese auto ventures in India, Sudhir has also bagged the Rs. 4 Crs. worth project value Aisin Automotive business in Rohtak, Haryana. Sudhir would supplying 5 Gensets (750 KVA), 1 Genset (380 KVA), 2 (2500 KVA) Transformers and SYN Panels to Aisin.

Sudhir Bags New Orders from the Automobile Industry

EMAAR MGF Land Ltd. is coming up with a new project, Palm Drive Gurgaon. Sudhir has been awarded a complete turnkey EPC contract for complete electrification as well as substation and backup power for 20MW. Palm Drive will be dotted with high-rise towers and captivating v i l las in contemporary sty le architecture.

Sudhir has bagged the esteemed order from Colgate-Palmolive India for SITC of 4X1250 KVA SDG sets that includes complete synchronisation panel teamed with exhaust system, exhaust structure, cables and complete erection material.

Sudhir has received the prestigious contract for distribution of power in the sprawling area of 1,250 acres - DLF's second largest development initiative after Gurgaon. Scope of supply would include Gensets ranging from 750 KVA - 2000 KVA and 20 substations in the capacity of 500 - 1000 KVA.

Sudhir would be supplying 50 nos of Oil and Dry Transformers through ABB for drives & distribution application for Manikhgarh Cement.

Sudhir Transformers bags another order from NMDC - Sinter plant & BOF plant for 50 nos of Dry type transformers.

Sudhir has been awarded a contract for setting up of Power house at distinguished Lady Harding Medical College. The power house will have 2 X 2000 KVA HT DG sets also.

Sudhir has undertaken power supply work for Rourkela Steel Plant wherein we would be supplying more than 40 nos. of Cast Resin Transformers through ABB, Siemens & Cosmic power for the Plate Mill, Sinter Plant & Power Distribution.

Sudhir has bagged a large contract from ABB for supplying of converter duty transformers to LV & MV Drives division for

NMDC, a prestigious name in steel plants, has placed the order of Cast Resin Transformer package for the blast furnace.

Sudhir is proud to be associated with Panasonic projects. Sudhir would be setting up the power house which apart other electricals will have 12 DG sets ranging from 160 - 750 KVA coupled with two synchronizing panels and AMF panels. Panasonic India is setting up a manufacturing facility at Jhajjar for washing machines, air conditioners and welding equipments etc.
