Conclusion
The aim of this survey is to understand the consumer behaviour for Google glass.
This generation wants technology and hope one day it will replace cell phones.
Very few people are aware about Google glass.
In India people are more brand, price and quality conscious.
According to the respondents it is expensive so in India Google should launch at less price.
Majority of the respondents said Google glass will help in doing task more quickly.
Price
Price objective: Penetration pricing (Charging low price in order to penetrate market quickly)
In U.S.A it is introduced at $1500 (Rs. 90,000) but it is expected to be little cheaper in India.
According to the survey we found that people would buy if the cost will be till Rs. 40-50,000..
PromotionAttractive promotion with the help of models,
social networking, internet, media, etc..
Distribution
Google is considering partnership with sunglass
retailers such as Ray-Ban or Warby Parker.
Google’s goal is to make it available to a wider
group of explorers at the end of this year, with
even broader availability next year.
• Approaches to distribution channel:
– Intensive--essential to low involvement goods
– Selective--desire to maintain image– Exclusive--very high service requirements, generally
expensive, capital expenditure, once in a lifetime purchase items
Selective distribution: Somewhat expensive, infrequent purchase item
• Buyers can buy online, there will be no separate charges for shipping and handling.
• I already wear glasses. Will Google Glass work for me? Yes. Google is experimenting with designs that will fit over existing glasses so you don't have to wear two types of glasses.
• How would the other person know that the person is recording video or taking picture? Is it safe? When the person will record or take picture light will turn on so other person can see.
• When will it be released?By the end of 2013 or starting of 2014
