Microsoft licenses Mosaic from Spyglass to create Internet Explorer. Microsoft Windows 95 Plus! Service Pack includes Internet Explorer 1.0. Internet Explorer 3.0 is released. 1996 August Netscape releases Communicator (combining Navigator with other products, including a WYSIWYG HTML editor and email client). 1997 June October 1997 Internet Explorer 4.0 is released.
