Once upon a time there was a beautiful forest,

that provided everything that its inhabitants needed to live

happily.

One day, an enormous fire, destroyed this beautiful forest.

All the animals sought shelter and watched their beautiful

forest disappear in front of their

eyes.

Except, one little

humming-bird was busy, …

Collecting droplets of water with its beak in the neighbouring lake,

Page 8: The Humming-bird’s share

To throw them on the gigantic fire.

Page 9: The Humming-bird’s share

Tirelessly, it continued, going back and forth

collecting droplets.

Page 10: The Humming-bird’s share

Annoyed by this ridiculous agitation, the ostrich said:

« Humming-bird, you must be crazy! It’s

not with these little droplets that you are going to stop

this fire! »
