What is Time Management?

Analysis of how waking hours are spent & the prioritization of tasks in order to maximize efficiency.

- Structuring your day to maximize efficiency & productivity, while allowing you to utilize your time for more tasks

Prioritizing

Set goals!- Finish dates- Number of tasks to finish by “X” time

Prioritize- Organize from most important to least- Don’t multitask, work on one at a time

Scheduling

“Block out a specific time on your calendar to tackle one task, uninterrupted by any distraction – no phone calls, no emails, and no visitors.” Whitehead (2016, p. 30)

Focus levels increase when allowed time decreases, only allow yourself so long on one thing and then move to the next. This keeps your productivity flowing and avoids getting stuck on one thing.
