PACK 94: Your Scout Needs YOU! DUTIES OF THE FUNDRAISING CHAIRPERSON: Organize the planning efforts around annual Pack fundraising activities including: Spaghetti Dinners (Spring) Popcorn Sales (Fall) Attend Council "Popcorn Kernel" Training & perform required duties Establish, coordinate and track "remote sales" opportunities at local businesses Manage prizes and recognition for participating Scouts Conduct Spaghetti Dinner Committee Meetings Work with Den Leaders to distribute and collect materials related to fundraising activities Work with the Treasurer to ensure proper accounting of all fundraising expenses and income Ensure all fundraising efforts are in full compliance with BSA and Rainbow Council guidelines Ensure event sponsors, contributors and donors are properly recognized for their efforts. Other duties as assigned by the Committee Estimated Time Requirements: 20hrs (Jun-Oct) - Popcorn Sales Coordination 30hrs (Dec-Mar) - Spaghetti Dinner Coordination 2hr/month (Aug-May) - Committee Meeting Reports Suggestions: Comfortable with computers, spreadsheets, e-mail and phone calls Comfortable giving direction to others Comfortable "cold-contacting" local businesses and organizations Highly organized! NOTE: A uniform is NOT required for this position. PACK COMMITTEE: The Fundraising Chairperson
