Hairless Cats

• I am researching Sphynx cats or Hairless cats for my daughter because she is fascinated with them and would like our next pet to be one of these funny looking creatures.

Appearance

• Sphynx cats are not truly hairless• They have short crushed velvet type texture to

their skin• Due to their lack of a thick coat of hair these

kitties are actually very tolerable for people with cat allergies

• Hairless cats will not due well being left out during cold weather

Personality

• Sphynx cats are extremely lovable• Due to their lack of hair they love to snuggle

with people, each other or even the family dog if it is cat friendly

• They love to curl up with their owners and watch TV

• They are very playful and are sometimes mischievous

• Sphynx cats are super curious and love to be involved in anything you are trying to do from reading the paper to wrapping Christmas gifts they want to be in the middle of it all

• They are great with children • They are described as friendly lovable

Care of Sphynx Cats

• Sphynx cats need to be kept warm• They are very social and need companionship so

if you will be at work it is a good idea to get two of them so they have each other while your away both for companionship and warmth

• Their skin and short velvety texture cause them to need a bath once a week with gentle shampoo and occasionally during dry weather, moisturizer

• Sphynx cats will also burn during sunny weather because their velvety hair is not enough to protect them

• No brushing or combing is necessary and no hairballs
