• What really matters when it comes down to it, is what holsters are best for quick draws in dangerous situations.

• Comfort is nice, but effectiveness is the most important in a threatening situation.

NARROWING THINGS DOWN

• Back Holsters wont work because they aren’t close to your hand and they can seriously hurt you if you fall on your back.

• Paddle Holsters move around too much, who knows where your gun will be.

• Bags aren’t always accessible.

• Fanny packs are a pain when sitting and aren’t that quick of a draw.

NARROWING THINGS DOWN (CONT.)

• A pocket holster is alright for concealed carry but this limits you to smaller handguns.

• Ankle holster effectiveness is reduced because you can’t move and draw at the same time.• Check out our article on ankle holster effectiveness for more information.

NARROWING THINGS DOWN (CONT.)

• Shoulder and cross draw holsters are our runner ups since many concealed carriers spend tons of handgun training with these types of holsters.• They do however usually require open shirts to access.

OWB HOLSTERS• The downside to an OWB is concealing

it.• If you have a coat or sweatshirt this

isn’t a problem, but otherwise it may be.
