Rock Star Management• Every day we feel like I we are producing a concert. Just

dealing with “stars” & issues: Executives and “Admins.” It is now over twenty-eight years.

• We think Iwe know what to plan for, set goals to accomplish and know many curve balls may be thrown in too. Where, how, what? Anticipate the unknown, not normal.

• How do you prepare for day, week. How does your staff figure in (are they your secret weapon)?

• How do you organize: calendar, software, pad…what really works for you and why?

• We all have goals and issues dealing with mail, services, warehousing, procurement, AP, and all of the now many operations we manage, correct?

• What do we know to expect?• What might happen, we may know from experience?• What might happen we do not expect?– You are asking for what, when???

Rock Star Management• Networking: the exchange of information or services among individuals,

groups, or institutions; specifically : the cultivation of productive relationships for employment or business.1

• Networking: is not an event, it’s a lifestyle. Everyone is important, everyone has something to give, willing to exchange, are in need of. Answer: networking. The art of networking: give first, share first, ask second. Be remembered for caring and sharing. The most important thing to do is to “be” authentic, be yourself! Many treat a networking event like a Halloween party – they put a “costume” on, go door to door and ask for something from strangers, Yikes! Throw away the costume, take off the mask and be real, authentic and relax.

Rock Star Management

How can you assist others, you will reap what you sow here: an endless sea of referrals and contacts. Condition yourself to give first. Make it a habit. Be the reason people show up at the next networking event, be the resource, be resourceful. Be the person who dares to care and share.

Rock Star Management How to prepare for anything:– True preparation• Experience• Networking• Education• Delegating, encouraging, motivating, pushing• Instinct

– Think of every possibility, even the odd ones.– How do you think out of the box?– Plan, plan, plan and then revamp from the one thing you did

not plan for or anticipate.

Rock Star Management

If you combine experience with the ability to think out of the box, anticipate options, prepare for the unexpected, obtain answers from your networking bible, expand your education, delegate to your staff constantly and combine all of these into one person:

presto: a rock star is born!

Combine you and your team; you’ll have rock stars; no one can take down.
