restoration Begins

The DeMaris House when we started.

RESTORaTIOn WORk BEgan In 2012 • New roof • New shingles on the upper portion • New windows are being installed • The old siding has been removed, the brick has been steamed cleaned and re-pointed, both inside and out.

There is still a great deal to do before we can start on the interior of the house, including:

• Removal of the non-historic windows which were added some 30 - 40 years ago and re-bricking those areas.

• A new foundation must be poured under the building.

The Park County Historic Preservation Commission under the direction of Ev Diehl is overseeing this project.

$189,000will finish the exterior and interior, plus

everything we need to oPen to the public!
