India: Platform for Service Delivery at the State Level

State of Andhra Pradesh. Implementing E-Pragati: state-wide Government Enterprise Architecture with emphasis on shared services, core data hubs. Connectivity provided by optical fiber backbone.

Bangladesh Growth, Employment and Governance Project

Ongoing program to establish key IT governance policies, standards and structures in the areas of EA and information security. It includes the development of an e-Government Interoperability Framework. Other project components support the development of a government cloud and government data centre.

World Bank Group ICT Strategy• Digital Connectivity: scale up affordable access to broadband

Internet• Digital Economy: support technology innovation for jobs and

competitiveness across economies• Digital Government: support the use of technology to improve

service delivery, promote open and accountable developmentThe World Bank Group is supporting ICT for Development programs in more than 100 member countries, including:

• Catalytic project finance for network investments, e.g. fibre-optic cables, rural connectivity programs

• Technical assistance for telecoms policy and regulatory reforms• Investments in Government information systems (various

departments/ministries), cloud, databases, citizen-facing services• Projects and components supporting applications e.g. ICT for jobs, farmer

information services, health and education information systems, transport planning, disaster early warning, location-based services

Objectives• Develop mechanism for rapid scale-up of Government e-

• Prepare for fast replication of applications, such as e-Gov related services including education and health care, across Indonesia based on the experience gained in the trial Kabupaten

• National level: implementation of Government Cloud, Data Centre, rollout of high-speed telecoms backbone networks

• Develop platform for infrastructure , applications and services sharing, accessible to all kabupaten/kota.
