To avoid the browser history affecting search results, single letter searches were carried out on ww.google.co.uk using Google Chrome incognito just after Cyber Monday, and before that in August at the height of the holiday season, noting Google instant’s suggestions.

Between Christmas and New Year, Boots the chemist secured a ‘B’ spot. No doubt indicating the nation’s need to address the excesses of Christmas?

Conclusion If you are thinking of taking on the majors ‒ be they celebs, internet giants or even vegans ‒ consider starting your venture’s name with P, S or T. No one held these letters in both August and December.
