• MANY WASTELAND SHITES ARE LASTING FOR VERY SHORT TIME AND REDEVELOPMENT TAKEPLACE WITHIN A FEW YEARS.

Wasteland reclamation

• succession" is the observed process of change in the species structure of an ecological community over time. A serious of stages can often be findout.

Woody species begin to colonise, whether scrambling species such as bramble or small trees, but numbers and cover at this stage remain low

• With time the proportion of grass in the vegetation increases, and after 8-10 years or so tall herb communities may give way to grassland, though a grassland in which some perennial, especially rhizomatous plants may persists as well as woody species and as more and more woody plants enter the tall herb or grassland community, these may eventually be replaced by scrub woodland.
