The Susan G. Komen Foundation handed out Pink Ribbons to participants in its ‘New York City Race For Breast Cancer Survivors’

Public awareness and acceptance of  breast cancer related issues (examining, education,

Advocating for funding Public, Government, Health Care Institutions and Industry

Procedure for using the official ribbon, preventing hoaxes and abuse

Partnering with Public, Government, Health Care Institutions and Industry without losing

independence

DonationsPink Ribbon gains his

income from donations from the public and the government

90% go to accredited breast cancer projects

10% is labeled for administrative support

Breast Cancer Awareness MonthEver since 1985, October has been

the official Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Pink Ribbon and variousother organisations organise events and activities that increase awareness and raise funds at the same time
