Petai, with a sciencetific name of Parka speciosa, is a type of tree that is found throughout tropical South East Asia
Petai usually called, Peteh (Indonesia), Petai (Malaysia), Sa-taw / Sator (Thai), Nejire-fusamame (Japan), Yongchaak, (chinese)
Why Petai has a bad smell?
Beside contain protein, carbohydrates and calcium petai also contains amino acids which are very high. it is causes odor in the mouth and urine after eating petai.

Petai contains certain amino acids that can produce a strong smell. The smell is so pervasive that even two days after it is eaten, We could sense whether someone has taken petai from the strong smell of his or her urine.
