What does it cost to use MediSecure®?

For pharmacies, MediSecure® is cost neutral, as the Australian Government 5CPA (5th community pharmacy agreement) rebate covers the 15c charge. Here’s how it works:

What does it cost to use MediSecure®?

1. Pharmacy downloads the electronic prescription

2. MediSecure® sends an invoice at a rate of 15c for each qualifying prescription

3. The 15c charge from MediSecure® is completely refunded by the Government via PBS Online

4. Pharmacies can view government rebates for all qualifying electronic prescriptions on PBS Online
