PORCELAIN VENEERS AND CROWNS
What are Porcelain Veneers?Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic that are custom crafted under magnification
in a dental laboratory. While your new veneers are being fabricated you will wear a natural looking temporary that will resemble your projected result. Typically veneers are
completed in 2 visits over 3 weeks.

10 Porcelain VeneersThis patient had 10 upper porcelain veneers that were 5 years old. They fit poorly and had decay underneath. They were also dark in shade and over contoured contributing to an unnatural look. We restored her smile with 10 new porcelain veneers on the top and a combination of zoom whitening and bondings on the lower 6 front teeth. The patients final result is bright and natural.

What Is Six Month Smiles?Six Month Smiles® is a modern twist on tried-and-true orthodontics. Six Month Smiles has taken the best aspects of braces and modified the treatment and the materials to give adults a common-sense, cosmetic solution that fits your lifestyle. Here is what makes Six Month Smiles so innovative …·Average treatment times of only six months·Six Month Smiles Lucid-Lok™ clear brackets and tooth-colored wires are barely visible·Use of braces has shown provide the most conservative and predictable final result·Six Month Smiles Patient Tray Kits™ ensure that your appointments are fast and comfortable·Low forces and short overall treatment times increase comfort, safety, and hygiene·Six Month Smiles is typically less expensive than traditional braces, aligner therapy, or veneers
How can teeth be straightened in only six months?
The Six Month Smiles technique employs the latest technology and techniques in dentistry to move your teeth quickly and safely. The key components of the treatment are the use of special nickel titanium wires and a primary focus of moving the teeth that show when you smile. Will I have metal brackets and wires?
No! Six Month Smiles dentists use tooth-colored braces that are barely visible. The wires are tooth-colored as well. These are nothing like metal braces! How are Six Month Smiles braces more comfortable than regular braces? Six Month Smiles braces use low force to move teeth more comfortably. Many people think that the accelerated treatment means simply “tightening” regular braces to get the teeth moving, but that is not true. Six Month Smiles utilizes standard orthodontic mechanics, but with an emphasis on the cosmetic appearance of your teeth rather than the position of your bite.

What is Invisalign?Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners
that no one can tell you're wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging
technology and has been proven effective. Why would I want it?
Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no
problem. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires usually means you
spend less time in your doctor's office getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you
can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.
How does it work? You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat,
drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move — little by little, week by week — until they
have straightened to the final position Dr. Michaelson has prescribed. You'll visit our office about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 12-17 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and
30, but both will vary from case to case.

Zoom! is a 2 hour bleaching process that lightens discoloration of enamel and dentin. The Zoom! light activated whitening gel's active ingredient is Hydrogen Peroxide. As the Hydrogen Peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, bleaching colored substances while the structure of the tooth is unchanged. The Zoom! light aids in activating the hydrogen peroxide and helps it penetrate the surface of the tooth. A study has shown that use of the Zoom! lamp increases the effectiveness of the Zoom! gel by 26% or more, giving an average improvement of up to eight shades.
