Introduction• Global payment processing company Allied Wallet

upholds a commitment to supporting causes that tie into its core business mission. Among other organizations, Allied Wallet supports the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), a nonprofit focused on caring for veterans whose sacrifices have helped create a more secure world. Specifically, WWP aids U.S. service members injured in recent conflicts.

Since every individual’s recovery process is different, WWP provides programs to support healing of the mind and body while promoting engagement and economic empowerment.

Wounded Warrior Project• Through its Cognitive Stress Recovery Project, WWP helps

warriors dealing with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after war-time experiences. WWP acknowledges that warriors with PTSD may feel stigmatized due to their condition and therefore have challenges accessing care.

For some warriors, taking part in WWP’s Project Odyssey is a key first-step toward healing. Through Project Odyssey, warriors take part in rehabilitative outdoor retreat programs, which provide them opportunities to engage with other combat veterans.

WWP further maintains an online educational resource called Restore Warriors, which helps combat veterans learn about PTSD and other hidden wounds that occur during war.
