The history of the church goes back to 1859 when it was founded by the local German-speaking community. Today, its building on Greene Street is the center of a thriving faith community.

One church philosophy is that brotherhood and spirit are fostered through people getting together to socialize, eat, drink, and enjoy the company of one another.
