Resolution 1:Do more skills-based volunteerism

Pro bono work and skills-based volunteerism enable professionals

to drive lasting societal impact on the issues that matter most to our

communities and to our clients.

We are focusing on skills-based volunteerism and pro bono this

year to provide up-and-coming professionals with leadership roles

and opportunities, helping them elevate their careers and

satisfaction at work while also offering further opportunities to

connect with our clients and the issues they care about.

Resolution 2:Step up for education

Engaging with students can help them build brighter futures. By

building their confidence, inspiring leadership and fostering trust,

we believe students can see their potential.

This year, through RightStep, we’re focused on helping education

organizations with a proven track-record of success operate more

effectively and efficiently so more students can persist through high

school and college and transition successfully into a career.

Resolution 3:Create more opportunities for veterans

The U.S. Veterans population is currently above 20 million and will

stay at those levels through the next decade – each year 250,000

men and women in the U.S. transition from military careers.

This year, we are furthering our commitment to helping veterans

make a successful transition to the civilian sector. We’re helping

equip veterans with the skills to succeed through our three pillars of

support: Education, Employment, and Health and Recovery as well

as through our signature programs, pro bono, and nonprofit

relationships.

Resolution 4:Collaborate more with others

No single organization (or person) has all of the answers but

together, we can drive change in our communities. The strengths

and skills of Deloitte professionals enable us to lead in this area by

engaging our clients and our communities in how to best make a

positive societal impact.

We’re focusing this year on facilitating collaboration between

government, nonprofits, and business to address tough societal

challenges, accelerate social innovation, and invest in the skills and

experience of our people.

Our people overwhelming want to participate in the community and

they’re looking for effective ways to do so.

This year, we’re focused on making it easier for our people to

engage in meaningful volunteer opportunities, deepen our

relationship with signature nonprofits in our issue areas, connect to

clients in the community, and build a culture of purpose.
