EAST PEORIA’S FINANCES
Standard & Poor’s Rating for East Peoria raised from AA to A+ in 2012 bond financing.
Historically balanced budget with revenues matching expenses, including operating, capital and infrastructure for development .
Part of larger Peoria area economy that is blessed with Caterpillar Inc. manufacturing, business units and world headquarters.

EAST PEORIA’S STRATEGIC PRIORITIES
1. Insuring public safety – Fire & Police Depts enhance preparedness for disasters and
assist people day to day, B&I with Police & Fire ridding problem properties.
2. Developing the riverfront and Levee District – P&CD planning sculpture, fountains
and attractive seating areas; Tourism doing special events to attract people.
3. Creating a high quality of life for residents – P&CD developing Civic Plaza and riverfront, Tourism insuring quality activities at EastSide Centre, B&I insuring safe and
attractive construction
4. Achieving economic development throughout the City – new retail and new
residential to the downtown/riverfront areas are objectives.
5. Being a responsive and responsible government -- B&I investing in technology and
utilizing grants to increase energy efficiency
5. Investing in public infrastructure to prepare for further investments – street, water &
sewer, solid waste & recycling improvements are being done by PW

ACCESS EAST PEORIA
Partnering with PublicStuff, a CRM software company to launch a new digital communications solution called Access East Peoria.
People can submit service requests on the fly from their iPhone, Blackberry and Android smartphones or on the web.
Access important city information regarding events, emergency alerts and more.
City workers will receive and process the service request.
