TBAR rescues animals that are seized due to abuse and/or neglect, or those that are homeless and have been FOUND. TBAR can only accept an animal if a foster home has room (or if someone agrees to become a TBAR foster home to save the animal) While in foster care the animals are monitored for any behaviors that would require them to have special needs forever homes. They are socialized in their foster homes so they can learn to trust humans and (if possible) become friendly towards children and other animals. Once an animal has received veterinary care and has been monitored by their foster home they are deemed ready for adoption. Their picture goes up on our website and Petfinder. If it’s a good match TBAR does final checks for approval on the application (including vet reference) to approve the family for adoption. Finally, they pay an adoption fee and sign an adoption contract promising to care for the animal. TBAR officers vote on taking in the animal and becoming responsible for the animal’s health and search for a forever home. T-BAR SEARCH LIGHT The animal receives veterinary care. Most need vaccinations and deworming. A great deal also need to go on a special food regimen to get their weight up without making them sick. They must be rehabili- tated before they can go back to the vet for spay or neuter. Once a family decides they are interested in adopting, they submit an application so we can set up a meeting with the animal. We love when an animal finds their forever home! We announce the Success Stories on our website and social media platforms, and we can never get enough photos of them in their new loving home! CONSIDER ADOPTING INSTEAD OF SHOPPING.
