FOR AN ECO-CITY?


FOR AN ECO-CITY?

An eco-city is also known as an environment friendly city. The aim of

building eco-cities is to reduce carbon waste, to produce energy using

renewable resources, and to unite the locality pleasantly with the

natural environment. But the duty isn’t over here. An eco-city has a lot

more to do like increasing economic growth, decreasing poverty rate,

achieving higher rate of living standards and developing a healthy

nation.


FOR AN ECO-CITY?

My dream or vision for an eco-city is quite simple. As I am a citizen of

Bangladesh, which is a developing country, I would like to take tiny

steps. At this moment, we can’t make a drastic change overnight. But

it’s possible to grow our individuals to be responsible enough to make

an effort for the environment around us. Eco-city has various criteria

that will be quite difficult to meet right now. But we can dream to have

an eco-city four our better good.


FOR AN ECO-CITY?

Putting an emphasis on renewable energy.

Carbon-neutral production will be available.

A very well organized public transportation system will be obtainable,

using bicycles will be promoted.

HOW CAN YOU MAKE YOUR CITY

MORE CONNECTED TO NATURE?

I am proposing a “10 Layer Model” in order to connect people with

nature. This will help us save the environment. We can get started by

creating a local community where we can execute this model.

Volunteers will join and come forward to spread the awareness!



1. Using renewable energy.

2. Buying better bulbs. Cost-effective and environment friendly bulbs

are the priorities

3. Recycling is the key.

4. Creating a better waste management system. Reducing waste can

help us go a long way.

5. Being careful when you are using energy sources. Excessive power

consumption is harmful for the nation.



6. Tree plantation programs.

7. Being a part of the Global Warming Community. Work effectively in

your local area.

8. Download earth saving apps and use them efficiently.

9. Teaching students and young people about environment and work

accordingly.

10. Promoting bicycle riding. If possible, rewarding the bicyclists.
