The Wing Trawling System is a shrimp fishing system to be used by trawlers. The system is the only one of this design in the world and has a US patent pending. The Wing Trawling System has been used in the real world conditions in the Gulf of Mexico and can adapt to any location world wide.

Three major accomplishments of The Wing Trawling System:

1. 50%-60% less fuel is used for a typical trawler to fish the same amount of area. Otter Trawl doors are eliminated removing the drag on the host trawler. Therefore less RPM is used on the main engine reducing fuel consumption.

2. By-catch is reduced by approx. 50%. The Wing Trawling System removes fish before capture. The Wing Trawling System is out ahead of the net and DIRECTS fish away from the net and being captured. Trawl doors create a bowl for capture, Wing Trawling System creates an Arrowhead to direct unwanted by-catch away from the net and capture.

3. The Wing Trawling System Glides just 18" above the seafloor pulling the net behind. Aerial photos have shown the definite mud plums from trawl doors and propeller wash. But in those photos the net does not leave a plume. Not only is the trawl door plume gone but so is the propeller wash due to the vessel engine being slowed due to the ease of pulling the Wing Trawling System.
