Knowing the animals

GENERAL ASPECTS OF THE SCHOOL

Population : fifth and sixth grade

Blog topic : In this blog students and any other visitor will have the possibility to gain knowledge about animals that belong to the farm, the jungle, and domestic animals.

Purpose of blog : To aid students with difficulties to learn the English language in a fun and entertaining way. There is a possibility of applying this blog to my own practicum students, does not necessarily have to be this way. To help ease the difficulties that the students have in regards to the language acquisition. By using the materials and .performing the activities, students will be able to describe different kinds of animals.

MAIN GOALS OF THIS BLOG PROPOSAL

1. To aid students who have difficulties with the English Language by performing several different activities regarding animals.

2. To supply students with the necessary resources in order for them to be able to describe the animals to be learned .

3. To be able to name colors , physical appearance of the animals.4. Find a relationship between the different animals, one example could be dogs

and cats because they both have four legs and are domestic. Dogs and cats both are mammals because they have fur, they are warm-blooded, which means they create their own body heat and produce milk.

5. For students to be able to differentiate between the animals taught.

How are the goals going to be achieved ?

1. The use of videos

2. Fill in activities to check for student understanding

3. Matching exercises

4. Flashcards will be used to promote the students´ visual intelligence.
