DESCRIPTION

I have been a Freecycle board moderator for two years so I have unique insight into this amazing group. I would like to share what I've learned during that time to help anyone who is interested in participating in the Freecycle community. Freecycle is a worldwide network of "gifting" groups whose purpose is diverting reusable goods from landfills. Members are looking to recycle unwanted items and save the environment. For those who are committed to keeping things out of landfills, Freecycle is a great resource. Even more, you can use Freecycle to: * Subtly advertise for free a group you belong to such as Makerspace *Get rid of something (especially bulky) quickly without having to pay any disposal fees and/or gas to transport to the landfill *Meet new people who may share your interests *No cost to ask for something (for free) you need or want *Earn extra bonus karma points for giving away something for free to someone who can use it
