Our specialization:

alternative and decentralized wastewater technologies

Page 11: CAWT: Focus on onsite and alternative wastewater treatment

Who else do we work with?

Majority are small- to medium-sized Ontario companies with innovative ideas:• Products or technologies that improve existing treatment

systems• Revolutionize treatment options• Pioneering technologies and techniques

We are seeing first-hand that Ontario is a hub for water and wastewater innovation.

Page 12: CAWT: Focus on onsite and alternative wastewater treatment

Some examples:

In the last few months we’ve started four NSERC ARD (Applied Research and Development) projects:

• Short, up to 6 months in duration• Roughly $25,000

All four of these recent ARDs involve decentralized wastewater technologies…

Page 13: CAWT: Focus on onsite and alternative wastewater treatment

About treatment technologies:

There is no single technology or system that meets the needs of global wastewater treatment.

We need to continue to find, develop, and improve various alternative wastewater treatment options.
