What is a Model 8872?

It is a PC / Windows –based data logger, that joins AV-Trend with a background Site Node Logger (SNL) Service to perform the real-time functions normally associated with a data logger:

• Real-time data acquisition• Averaging• Validation• Calibration control / data collection• Digital Event Programs• Average/Cal Alarms (for local relay output)

Detailed Log Files

The SNL Service keeps several log files that can more easily troubleshoot RS-232 and Modbus connections.

By default, they are not detailed, but by editing the application INI file in the Programs Directory, the debug mode can be turned to very verbose.

Viewing Instant DataTo allow the user to access this information, a “Site Node Logger Toolbox” allows access to channel status, cal status, and digital input/output settings.

Viewing Instant DataWe have also added a new tabular display, where users can drag and arrange panels.Also used in CEM product.Supports instantaneous data (polled from 8832 or from SNL).Does NOT use the Favorites system, has its own system for save/restore.

Viewing Instant DataThe old real-time trend is also provided, but is limited to average data only.Currently the SNL can only do base averages of 1m and higher, but this is planned to be lowered to 10s in the next 30-60 days.

Most Reports can also be ‘pushed’ via email/FTP
