In this shot, we see the hause is lifted up by Perhan’s uncle by using a rope and the truck, his uncle loses all his money as playing cards with Ahmed’s brothers, accuses the grandmother of hiding money from him. Merdzan is mentally disturbed and Katidza incriminates Ahmed’s brothers from that situation. After this event whole life of the family varies. Ahmed intends to do an apology for Katidza, he offers Danira and Perhan to go Slovenia for the treatment of Danira’s leg which has disablement. In this scene three people that are under the house have a mighty adherence to each other however one wrong thing endengers the seperation between them. We can see their devotion and togetherness very well, this shot shows, that is the initiation of the seperation. We won’t be able to see these three people together in the film again. Since that shot deliniates the seperation in the family it is so significant.

Ahmed promises to Katidza to take Perhan and Danira to Slovenia and this is the scene which indicates their leaving from their small village in Yugoslavia to another place that they even do not hear the name. The apprehension in Perhan’s eyes can be noticed, additionaly this circumstance chagrins him since he is leaving his grandmom and girlfriend behind. Departure to a foreign country is always rough especially for a person who dwells in the identical place for years, this condition explicated very clearly. Feeling of strangeness and his reluctance preponderates, however for his sister he should go. This situation forcing him something that he doesn’t desire to. Despite Danira has a hope for the treatment and she is happy. She is displeased with the departure and afraid of death, but healing wish represses it for Danira.

Immediately after the departure to Slovenia, Perhan grasps that they are deceived by Ahmed. He wants Perhan to beg or rob in Milano to gain the enough money for the hospital charges for sister (but then Perhan learns that Danira is took from the hospital and begged forcibly by Ahmed). Perhan is obliged to leave his sister in Slovenia and go to Milano however he doesn’t want to work and he is tormented by Ahmed’s brothers, then he realizes Ahmed’s solemnity and decides to work in Milano’s criminal underworld in order to save his sister. This scene demonstrates us the sacrifice and devotion both for his sister and girlfriend. The wicked stuff that he doesn’t want to perform is done by him because of those two precious girls. He ignores all the pain that he is encountered with and he wants to reach to his loved ones again. In order to attain his purpose we see a character that attempts everyway and this shows his determination and loyalty.

Eventhough Perhan works in the criminal underworld reluctantly. Seeing that the deterioration of the relationships between brothers, Ahmed’s illness, instilling confidence to Perhan and deceiving him makes him the new boss of this bussiness, additionaly this condition converts him to another person. He transforms into a character now, arrogant, spoiled and supercillious, now there is a new Perhan who thinks he can do everything with money and values materiality. Previous Perhan who’s first priority is love, adherence and faithfulness replaces with new Perhan. This scene shows the alteration of him very well, he dresses attentive, he pays attention to his hair and now he smokes cigars we can see the smugness in this eyes. This shot is a good point to see the change in Perhan.

Perhan decides that he gains enough money to get married with Azra and Ahmed allows him to go back their village for a short time. He is really eager to see Azra again and impatiently goes to the village however his affection to Azra turns into hatred, since she is pregnant. In the same night in a small pub he gets drunk then his grandmother comes. She notices a Perhan who she is not accustomed, instead of the previous Perhan that feels compassion and goodness in his heart now brutal and arrogant Perhan sits in front of her. Perhan’s unconcerned attitudes to Azra and Danira infuriates Katidza and dissapoints her a lot. In this scene we can see the confusion and anger very clearly. He thinks that his behaviors are not wrong and can’t see the reality, like in the very first scene again a wrong thing dissatisfies the family. Katidza counsels him because she wants to remind Perhan his actual life values.

Perhan marries with Azra unwillingly because after this event of pregnancy he doesn’t feel the identical and strong feelings to Azra. In these conditions which he is in an ambivalance or feels intense emotions he always play his accordion. In this scene he can’t recognize his desires, one side of Perhan still loves Azra nevertheless the other side of Perhan thinks that it is a betrayal and blames himself since he is conceding the baby. Perhan doesn’t want to rely all these things that are done by Azra to him moreover that makes him enraged and sad. In addition in that shot a specific thing is wanted to prove by the director. They are close physically, however indeed they are far from each other mentally and emotionally. Grief is the common emotion that is felt, additionally indignation dominates Perhan’s feelings basically. Behind Perhan, Azra is trying to erase the name of him which is written under her breast, also that shows us, their connection ends.

After the marriage Perhan and Azra return to Milano. Azra attempts to convince Perhon to the reality that in fact baby’s father is Perhan however he maintains his attitude to her about that incident. Azra comprehends that she can not persuade Perhan, hence she decides to go away. Abruptly, after the departure Perhan discerns and starts to search. In that moment he grasps that he is losing the most valuable asset in his life. When he finds her, she is giving birth and because of the severe bleeding she dies. To understand the worth of Azra, her death is not an exigency. Now he feels compunction and he is remorseful. After the demise he ascertains that he actually loses his humanity.

Now Perhan becomes aware of Ahmed’s deceptions and Katidza will reject Perhan whether he can not find his sister, hence he starts to search her everywhere. He encounters her by coincidence then retrieves her and his four year old son from Ahmed however to take vengeance and kill the brothers he returns to Ahmed’s wedding ceremony. He is shot by Ahmed’s brother. He seeks for his sister and son after the death of Azra, although now they are together and even they have an opportunity to obtain happiness again Perhan’s desire of revenge obstructs their togetherness. His selfishness causes his death and troubles many other people too especially Katidza, Danira and his son Perhan nevertheless he doesn’t sorrow because of his death, he grieves because of the felicity which he left behind. In addition Perhan smiles and sees his cock in the sky as he is dying, this event is open to interpretation, he might be delighted since he converges to Azra again.
