Long ago, the first cyclops was just a regular ogre. His name was Delevan. He was big, ugly, and very unpleasant to be around. He spent his days lumbering around and being of little use to society.

One thing Delevan did do, however, was chase after women. He was always trying to get a date with as many ogresses as possible.

Hey. What are you up to

later?

Because he was also trying to hit on women, he was also winking at them. He would wink thousands of times a day.

One day, after seeing a particularly large and hideous ogress, he winked so much, that he found he couldn’t reopen the eye that was closed. He resorted to wearing an eye patch to cover his oddly closed eye.

He fell into a deep depression. He was so sad that he couldn‘t hit on women anymore by winking at them. However, women were attracted to his pirate-like looks. One day, after taking off the eye patch, he found that his eye had completed fused shut. He was now left with only one eye on the one side of his face.

I’m half blind! Help!

Over time, the eye shifted to the middle of his face, since it was the only one he had. He learned to respectfully blink at women when he spoke to them.

He eventually settled down with a hideous ogre that had been blinded in a skiing accident at twelve. One eye plus zero eyes makes one eye total, so they had hideous, one-eyed cyclops children.

In the future, the cyclops will be very advanced. Some popular stories tell of him being able shoot powerful laser beams from his eye.

I believe the cyclops will be almost a robot, with a powerful lens on his eye that can see great distances. It can be used as a telescope or powerful microscope.

The cyclops will come a long way from the origins of being disrespectful towards women. In time, the cyclops’s huge advancements in technology will cause them to become smarter than humans. They will proliferate and enslave us all.
