Friday night we have the re- cently re-established session in Newman’s Pub (formerly Brady’s), and also the Folk and Ballad Session in the Old Bridge Inn. Saturday there are sessions held in Rath Cairn - check www.rathcairn.net for details or their facebook page. Sunday there is a session in Fulham’s bar on Railway St from 8pm. Thank you to Oisin Newman for the use of his premises and to welcome back this very popular Seisiún. All musicians are welcome to attend. Navan CCE current Chairper- son, Mr. Paddy Pryle was re- cently speaking to a visitor from New York, Barry McCormack of McCormack’s Pub NY, who stated that ‘there is nothing more appealing than a good trad session to visitors from over- seas!’ Navan currently boasts a num- ber of sessions around the town. On Tuesday’s once a month, the Navan Singers Circle meet in Newman’s Pub. On Wednes- day night there is the longest Trad Seisiún in County Meath in the Lantern Bar on Watergate St. Thursday night is the popu- lar intimate fireside sessions in Navan CCE would like to thank Michael Gavigan of the Central for the use of his premises (Mervin’s yard at the back of the restaurant) for the Seisiún na nOg that was held on Sunday 8th February. The children involved loved the session and it was a great suc- cess with all. Parents please note that our next Seisiún na nOg will be held on Saturday 8th March at 3pm. Navan CCE will be promoting the following Comhaltas events at the Shamrock Festival:

Friday 14th—Trad in Navan Shopping Centre 7-9pm

Saturday 15th—Trad in Johnstown Shopping Ctr 3-5pm

Sunday 16th—Trad in Navan Racecourse 1-5pm

Sunday 16th—Unveiling of commemorative plaque in the Lantern Bar, Watergate St, with

session afterwards 7pm sharp till late

Monday 17th—Main Stage, Kennedy Plaza at 3pm—Traditional Irish Musicians from CCE

Navan will be performing and entertaining the town during the St Patricks Day Shamrock

Festival.

Navan CCE have many talented

musicians, and their music and

showmanship will be on display

during this years Navan Sham-

rock Festival in many venues

around the town.

In a joint collaboration between

Navan Comhaltas and Navan

Shamrock Festival, there will be

a celebration of the longest

Traditional Music Sessions in

County Meath. A plaque to

honour this remarkable achieve-

ment will be unveiled in the

Lantern Bar on Watergate St on

Sunday 16th March at 7pm, with

a session afterwards. We wel-

come all musicians, friends, and

supporters of Comhaltas Navan

to attend.

Comhaltas na Mi will be hosting a Monster Table Quiz

in Simonstown GAA in Navan on Friday 14th March at

9pm sharp. Tables of 4 are €40 & light refreshments

will be served. There will be a music session

afterwards, so don’t forget your instruments! For

Fleadh na Mi will be held from 12-18th May in
