This survey showed that most people spend less then £5 per month on music magazines! With the average magazine costing £4.99 there is a tough competition out there, and design is everything.

This bar graph shows that although most people do attend gigs and festivals, they don’t go more then twice in most cases. Gigs can be expensive, up to £150!!! Not to mention time consuming when people have college or work.

Equal amount of people spend nothing and over £15 on music, but a majority peaks at Less then £15 in the middle. Rising costs else where leaves huge cutbacks for music, only one or two CDs seem to be brought a month. This could be caused by piracy in these tough times.

The survey says that nearly ¾ of people download music online. NOT SURPRISING as it is an easier, faster way of getting tunes on demand instead of trawling through the shelves!

The internet, again, came first for people. Although it was close! I suppose the internet is on demand where as a TV is scheduled so it wasn’t too shocking.

People seem to read music magazines to find out about new bands, a speciality of music magazines. I expected more people however to read music magazines for interesting articles.
