On the first day, gops of Nandgaon come to Barsana to play Holi with the gopis

Men from Nandgaon sing provocative songs to attract the attention of women of Barsana.

Women then go offensive and chased them

Women beat the men with long sticks who protect themselves with the shields.

In between the celebration, people eat snacks and drinks specially prepared for Holi
