The Condition of the Pool

• The following slides will show the deterioration of the pool deck and wooden bulkheads

• The sand fill under the deck is leaking through the bulkheads into the pool which is causing the deck to crack and slope

Pool Committee Considerations

• Five options were reviewed by the pool committee

• These five options were further reduced to two final considerations

Page 10: Interlachen Pool Presentation 2009 Blog

Options Considered by the Pool Committee

A. New deck, bring existing pool & deck to compliance

• Doing nothing was not an option

B. New 16’ deck & bulkhead, bring old pool to compliance

C. New pool & Spa, new 14.5’ deck & new bulkhead

• Additional cost for 16’ deck was minimal

D. New pool & Spa, new 16’ deck & new bulkhead

E. Include new bulkhead at both ends of bridge

• In these economic times this additional cost was not advisable
