How To Find The Perfect Wedding Dress

by Lana Jane Fox

Seven Practical Tips That Will Save Your Life

#1 Bridal Store Appointments

When you make appointments in a bridal store, make sure you arrange the earliest possible hour. You might feel sleepy, but you will get fresh store staff, that will be more eager to help and attend to you. In addition, it is likely that the store will be emptier early in the morning.

#2 Get your focus right

When you choose a wedding dress all details are important, but some a little bit more than others. For instance, the top of your dress will gather more attention than the skirt. It will also feature on the guest pictures more. When it comes to wedding dresses it is the waist up that counts a little bit more.

#3 Pick a Dress that is Timeless

Don't choose a wedding dress, just because it is trendy now. Think about how you will feel to look at your wedding pictures years from now, and make a choice you won't regret! You can pick a more modern gown with traditional elements. This is most likely to become timeless. The gown worn by Grace Kelly, for instance, will never go out of style, especially after the Royal Wedding between Prince William and Katherine Middleton.

#4 Take Pictures for Decision-making Purposes

If the bridal boutique allows it take pictures and look at them later. The feeling you get in the store is important, but the feeling you will get afterwards when you see yourself on the pictures is even more important. Remember, with your wedding it will be just the same. You need to pick a dress that will create the same feeling in you on the special day as well as when you look at your pictures days, months and years later.

#5 Don't judge what you haven't tried

A wedding dress on a hanger may look both gorgeous or terrible. What matters the most is how it looks on you and how it feels on you. Feel free to try on as many dresses as you need. Just don't overdo it, because you might get even more confused.

#6 Don't be afraid to visit the bridal boutique alone

Just because you are going for a wedding dress, doesn't mean you need your entire arsenal of friends with you. Different people have different taste for clothing and this could be very frustrating. They might try to force their taste and opinions on you and that will add more stress than needed.

#7 Wear Comfortable Underwear

When you try wedding dresses put on new and comfy underwear, cause you will spend quite some time in it only. If it makes you feel good and is comfortable enough, you are likely to enjoy the dresses you try more. In addition, it will make you relax in fornt of the store staff and not get embarassed by the grey bra you have since college.
