Mise-en-scene• Props- trophy, string, blanket, radio, TV• Actors- Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueller• Location- Ferris’s bedroom• Costume- pajamas and a dressing gown• Makeup- little or none, natural-looking• Expression- Shocked when he says “They bought it!”,

most of the time he is relaxed and happy. He is used to doing this. Deadpan at the ‘lick your palms’ joke.

• Lighting- cracked through the curtain, when he opens the curtains, the room lights up. Also, full shots of the sky.

• SFX- none

Sound• The music that plays in the background is non-

diegetic, as Ferris can’t hear it himself. Ferris can hear his television playing MTV in the background. He also plays around with his illness soundboard, which he can hear.
