The interchange was opened on April 1, 2010. It was completed at a cost ofRs.2,275 million, in a record period of 7 months.The opening ceremony was attended by SyedYousaf Raza Gilani,Prime Minister of PakistanandMian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, thePunjabChief Minister. The dignitaries appreciated the excellent quality of work executed by the contractors Earlier, on March 16, 2010, thePunjabChief Ministerperformed the soft opening of the interchange.

Bahria Town Iconis a double tower skyscraper currently under construction inKarachi,Sindh,Pakistan.The tower is located near the beach of Arabian Sea at Shahrah-e-Firdousi in Karachi. It is a 62-storey building. The Tower is the tallest building on which 90% construction has been completed During its construction, excavations for the foundations caused inconvenience for traffic flow. The fireworks were shown on its completion. Construction was also halted on the orders of Sindh High Court pending the submission of anEnvironmental Impact Assessment report.
