I am here to talk you about Landing pages, what is a landing page, why you should use one and what it will do for your business.

What is a Landing Page?

A landing page is a page specifically designed to increase contacts to your business, they can be used for contact forms, promotions, sales, business boosters and email database building.

They are simple and have no distractions, their sole purpose is to get the client to contact you and contact you know, with a feeling they are special and have got excited about your offer.

Why Use a Landing Page?

Most businesses place a banner ad on the internet and send “clicks” to their home page.This is fine for brand awareness, but for getting people to contact you it can lead to very few leads and create a high bounce rate (Visitors clicking to the page leaving immediately).

Elements of a good Landing Page

• Clear of distractions (no links to other pages)• A simple contact form on the page • Identify what is on offer to them (make it big)• Good clear, well laid out graphics• Telephone number and address (optional)

Remember its sole purpose is them contacting you now!

As you an see from the previous 3 examples, they contain only information the client needs to contact you, not wander around your website then leave without contacting you.It is best to try some A/B testing with different pages, see which works for you business the best, it can vary with the purpose or target market.

Clients Leaving – Bounce Rate

The click has come to the page, they had initial interest, but they have gone to click close.

Don’t worry its not the end!

You can add a pop up to ask why they are leaving and get details to contact them, this can increase the amount of contacts significantly.
