GATEGATE PATTERNPATTERN



GATE is completely an objective test in which the questions are either Multiple Choice type (MCQs) or Numerical Answer Type. So only those students will fetch marks who mark precisely the correct answer. This will happen only if students have comprehensive and wide knowledge of the subject.

Students should solve previous year questions of GATE (last 10 years) so that they know the exact level of questions that are asked in exam.

“Practice makes the man perfect” is an old saying and is still 100% apt. Try to appear in as many practice tests of the institute and take the mock test series very seriously. Test series is very helpful for better time management.

Prepare short notes/list of important formulae and definitions of every subject which will be helpful at the time of revision.

Non-Technical section of GATE which includes Engineering Mathematics, General Aptitude and General English is very scoring. It carries around 30% weightage which is actually a rank decider.
