New York Air Brake chose Crouzet Switches as its partner on this re-design project for several key reasons. One reason is Crouzet Switches’ ability to manufacture a well-designed switch and provide full engineering support and design friendly options. Examples of this are customer specific adaptations which include customizable levers, outputs and terminals. Secondly, Crouzet Switches was able to offer New York Air Brake a competitive price for the switch chosen. Finally, Crouzet Switches and Knorr-Bremse have a long time existing relationship in Europe. The opportunity to expand this successful partnership in North America also influenced New York Air Brake’s decision to choose Crouzet Switches as a respected supplier in the railway industry.

New York Air Brake Corporation, a Knorr-Bremse company, is a leading supplier to the freight railroad industry of air brake control systems and components, electronically controlled braking systems, foundation brakes, training simulators and train handling systems.
