EXPECTATIONS• Course Requirements:
Classroom Work /Discussions 20%
Homework Assignments 40%
Midterm Test 15%Final Test 25%
• Bring Custom Courseware to all classes
• Restricted use of cell phones, laptops, i-pods
• Participate – practice “professional” conduct!• Students must complete and submit 60% of required course work
(classroom work and assignments), write both exams, and achieve a >50% combined average on the exams, in order to pass this course.
Evaluation and Promotion• This course is 28 hours = 2 credits
For any course, if you stop attending, it’s NOT
an official “Withdrawal” – so grades appear!
You Must withdraw through Mocomotion!

Promotion Policy • Promotion in good standing: you need to have a
weighted GPA of 60% with no failures
• Promote with advice: weighted GPA of at least 50% with no more than 1 failure
• Probation: weighted GPA of at least 50% with more than one failure. To progress “on probation” you must meet with your student success advisor
• Compulsory withdrawal – weighted GPA < 50%; students should seek advice on the best route to stay at the College – maybe you are in the wrong program?

Scholarships and Awards• Demonstrate a commitment to academic
excellence, College/community involvement and good citizenship
• Maintain a GPA of at least 80%
• Characteristics – leadership, peer support, acceptance of responsibility, reliable, diligent
• Program-Related and Extracurricular Activities: college activities, volunteering, community involvement

Assignments Schedules & Due Dates
• All assignments must be submitted by the due date given by the instructor
• Late assignments will be refused or heavily penalized for lateness
• No examination exemptions
• Talk to your instructor in the event of exam/tests conflicts
• “I didn’t know” is not an acceptable reason for being unfamiliar with College academic policies
Dropping Courses
• Withdraw from a course within the first 10 days of classes to have the course dropped from your transcript
• If you drop a course after 10 days but within 10 weeks from class start date, you will receive a W (withdrawn) from the course
• Drop after 10 weeks from the course start date and you will get a failing grade
• If you stop attending class, we don’t know if you’ve dropped – you need to take action!
College Closure
• Check K-Lite FM, CH News or elearn to see if the College is closed due to inclement weather
• College Website and telephone answering system will also relay emergency closure information

• Honesty & Integrity – principles, character
• Responsibility – accountability for your actions
• Commitment – adhere to standards and goals
• Test Protocols – if you arrive more than 30 minutes late for a test or exam, you cannot write it;
- you cannot leave the test room within the first 30 minutes of the test/exam;
- no use of handheld devices unless otherwise specified by your instructor
