Teachers are planning learning activities that challenge and excite the students. Parents are volunteering and students are creating projects and using technology to demonstrate their learning. You can almost feel the energy when you walk thru our school doors! Good things are happening inside, however on the outside, there is a safety concern. On September 1 of this year, House Bill 347 took effect in Texas. The bill mandates that any wireless communication device may not be used while operating a motor vehicle within a school crossing zone, or on the property of a public or private elementary or middle school unless the vehicle is stopped or the device is hands-free. This means that if you are not using a hands-free device, you must stop and put your car in park if you are going to text, talk, type, etc...on school grounds and in school zones. Please work with us to keep school a safe place, inside and out. Please stop in and say hello if you are on campus. Our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Acosta and myself would love to meet you if we haven't already had the pleasure!
