All of the pictures of speech sounds (speech sound pics) are shown in the Speech Sound�Clouds, which are explored�and often adapted (eg for accents) throughout their�learning journey.

Children are able to understand the concept of there being more than one sound pic for every speech sound (except ‘a’ as in cat) within weeks of using the SSP Approach. This is far less confusing than starting with print, and trying to make sense of it.
