How is this commonly known?

According to one myth, in his youth, Krishna despaired about fair skinned Radha and whether she or other Gopikas would like him because of his skin colour. His mother tired of the desperation, asked him to approach Radha and tint her face to suit him. This he did, and Krishna and Radha

became a couple. This myth is celebrated in certain parts of India as Phagwah.
