Teotihuacan Pyramids
Teotihuacan (Nahuatl: Teotihuacan, "Place where the gods were made , city of the Gods)is the name given to that was one of the largest cities during the pre-Hispanic MesoamericaThe remains of the city are to the northeast of the Valley of Mexico, in the city of Teotihuacan (Mexico State), about 45 miles away from downtown Mexico City. The area of archaeological monuments was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1987.

THE ROAD OF THE DEADThe road to the Dead or Miccaohtli is the north-south axis of the city of Teotihuacan. THE CITADEL IS
The Citadel is an architectural complex located in the western belt of the dead road, south of the river San Juan. The whole forming a large square of approximately 400 square feet per side and was built during Miccaotli, between 150 and 250 d. C. The set also includes The Citadel of the Feathered Serpent Pyramid, which was around thirteen temples built on a platform side. Behind the temple of the Feathered Serpents are two housing complexes that could be reserved for the elite Teotihuacan. In the center of the plaza is a shrine with four steps that gave access to the platform. The Citadel became the political, cultural and economic development of the city of Teotihuacan, a site that had belonged to the whole pyramid of the sun before. The causes of this shift in the center of the city are unknown, but could have been due to political factors
