Survey Results Audience Research

For the target audience task I decided to make a survey by using the online survey maker “surveymonkey”. In my survey I included 10 music video

related questions, using both open and closed question to give me a variety of results. I then used social networking site such as twitter and Facebook to gain feedback by asking individuals to fill out my survey. By doing this is allowed me to get a variety of responses from different age

groups and different genders.

Summarising the results From my result I can see that more females students with part time jobs who are aged between 16-18 watch music video than males. I can also see that Pink and Bruno Mars

are their favourite Pop artists at this current moment in time and that they like narrative music video due to the fact that their favourite music video are story based.

Also from my results I can see that most of the audience use YouTube converters to purchase music however, some like to buy their music from ITunes as they feel like it give

them better quality music. From my last question I can see that some of the audience use social networking sites but it doesn't affect their music taste. However their are

some individuals that use social networking sites which have helped them discover new smaller independent artists that they otherwise wouldn't have known about.

This task has helped me establish my target audience and will help me when I create my Voki and Rate card. It will also help me in the near future when I have to evaluate my

music video’s target audience as I will be able to relate it back to this task.

I will now create a Voki based on these results
