INVESTIGATION

• Why must this idea?

1. Because we want to improve the interest of the students in Sampoerna Academy Bogor Campus to create a short story.

2. As the keepsake or archives for the school.

3. Appreciating the potential of creating short-story that has been recognized as a well-made writing by linguist.

GOALS

1. Improve the interest in reading of the student

2. Solving the obstacles for them for publishing their writing

3. For helping students to publish their writing into public

BENEFIT

• This project will help them to make their writting being more useful and will not be such a garbage. Because most of their writting is just like a task from their teacher. Unfortunately, they do not think deeper. If they think deeper they can make their writing as a book and they can publish it.

DESIGN

• Ideas :

1. Put all of the students’ short story2. One book, one short story3. For the following edition we may make the book collection from

poem and also sketching4. Our target are all ages (depend on the theme) especially young

people (teenagers)5. The book can motivate the people who read it6. Why short story? Not poem?

First Design. It needs more attractive colour and need more attractive template

Second design. It has been better but it still need more improvement

Final design. Even this is the last design when we have the new edition we will change it better than this

PLANIn this project we decided to use investigation way for finding the primary datas, while for the secondary data we used combine way such inteRview or make questions, and it doesn’t always used for all of the audience. Webelieve that using investigation way is more absolute than using such a interview or make questions. Because if we use interview way, the audience may make their answer not as same as the truth.

1. Brain storm to findcand decide the ideas.

2. Finding the hardcopy of the stories.

3. Re-typing the story. So the story will be softcopy and we will easier to assembly it.

4. Editing the story, such find the unpolite words, or tidy up the structure by helps from the advisor and littelature teacher.

5. Designing the cover.

6. Ask the advisor’s opinion. Is the project already done or may be need more editing.

7. Printing and publishing the product. So we could show it to public.

CREATE1. We have been gathered for some meeting and make the deal,

what the book we would make, how we can get the stories, and how we can print it.

2. Get the story from teacher and might also form the student directly.

3. After we typed the story, we got the soft copy and also it will be easier to edit.

4. After the main of the project (content of the book) done, we made the cover of the book.

5. After everything have done we ask the advisor’s opinion. The book already good or not or may be still need some revisions.

6. For printing we looked at one of the printing office in Jakarta. But we also find some printing office in the nearer place.

OBSTACLES

• Difficult to find the printing office

• Takes long time to editing the stories

• Wrong type

• Agreement to choose the short stories that will published in the first book

• Wrong application use

EVALUATION• In investigation we have observed the obstacles that make the

students can not publish their writting easily and observing about their interest of reading even their interest of writting too. Unfortunately, for the investigation it can be for the whole people in Indonesia even in the entire world. Hence, later on if we would like to make the new edition we could make it more wider areas in investigation.

• In design, we have made the last update design especially for the cover. In the next edition of the book we will make the new design, not only in the cover but also in the content of the book.

• Plan and Create, we would like to make books from the stories that made by the students. In this first edition, we make a book for collection of short story. And we sure that on the following edtion we may make the book of the collection of poem, or may be we couldcombined it with sketching.
