DESCRIPTION:

Employs high-functioning autistic adults and uses their special skills to out-perform the market.

Specialisterne offers software testing services, data entry, and quality control.

IMPLEMENTATION:

Investor and entrepreneur found;

Initial contacts with flagship clients;

Joins social entrepreneurship programme at ESADE + financial support from BBVA.

Started operating on July 4, 2013.

DESCRIPTION:

Takes advantage of special tactile abilities of blind people in the health sector.

Blind women are trained as medical tactile examiners and employed by gynaecologists for early detection of breast cancer.

IMPLEMENTATION:

First training of Spanish tactile examiners organised in Germany in October 2013;

Training centre committed for future;

4 gynaecologists interested in providing the first employment contracts from 2014.

DESCRIPTION:

Huge multi-business social enterprise employing over 2,300 people with mental disabilities.

They place 23% of their people in the ordinary marketplace every year.

IMPLEMENTATION:

18 social enterprises in Barcelona are trying to implement a similar management model.

DESCRIPTION: The best programme to make all

teachers extraordinary Maths instructors.

All children end up excelling in Maths with extraordinary results.

Excelling in Maths take children to improving overall performance in school and avoiding failure… and

competences in STEM.

IMPLEMENTATION: 10 public schools will implement

JUMP in 2013-2014 as a pilot, and 50 in 2014-2015.

A full randomised-controlled study and a standardised national test will be implemented at end of academic year 2015.

DESCRIPTION:

Radical approach to learning by doing: vocational training programme that allow students to combine lessons with operating the school business units.

Adapted to Spain for NEETS.

IMPLEMENTATION:

Two private vocational training centres preparing a pilot for 2014.

A new vocational training centre being created to adopt the entire methodology in 2015.

DESCRIPTION: Two single moms raising children

together can achieve more than one struggling alone.

“Mom-matching” site to connect single moms interested in sharing a home by pooling their resources.

Coordinating single-mothers social networks.

IMPLEMENTATION: US website operating since

1992.Global web site to be launched in July.

Spanish version will be ready in October 2013.
